The Onslow County Partnership for Children is seeking a dedicated part-time Facilities Specialist. The ideal candidate for this position is flexible, forward thinking and has the ability to maintain the safety and cleanliness of our 4 centrally located offices. The ideal candidate should also possess general handyman skills. This position works under the direct supervision of the Operations and Facilities Manager.
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all locations are cleaned and well maintained to ensure every consumer has a positive experience when frequenting in our agency. The Facilities Specialist is responsible for carrying out duties associated with maintaining the safety and comfort of the building which allows individuals to deliver high quality services to consumers of our services.
Delivery of high quality customer service to patrons and staff
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with patrons and staff
Ensure grounds and common areas are tidy and free of trash and debris
Organize and maintain maintenance inventory
Promptly acknowledge and respond to cleaning requests received
Carry out emergency activities as necessary
Conduct general and preventive maintenance of components of buildings
Work together with other maintenance personnel and management in organizing an essential team that successfully represents the expertise and quality standards of the organization
General lifting and moving furniture and equipment as needed
Conscious of safety procedures and ability to maintain a safety plan of action
Other duties as assigned
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED from an educational institution
1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience to include sufficient understanding of the use of power and hand tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Independent and self-motivated, able to comply with deadlines
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Capable of handling multiple tasks with completing priorities under minimal supervision
Highly organized and able to exercise strong attention to detail
